I appreciated the doctor's patience and being interested in knowing that I understood the answers he provided and explaining things in a chronological order to me. And very much I appreciated that he didn't just take the test that I had had. He was also very thorough with the physical assessment, but he went a step further and recommended another test just for further clarification. Dr. Cares is probably the most respectable doctor I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. His experience and professionalism are extremely impressive. Both my wife and I have had an experience where we decided it was best for us to go to Mass General, and I can say without a doubt, Dr. Cares lives up to all of the expectations I have when I come here. I found that Dr. Cares was extremely professional, but also very personable. He showed great interest in my history and other details about not only my medical problems, but me as a person. He was really invested in the examination, the history taking, the recommendations. He was very careful that he got the information correct, and I had a relatively lengthy history. He was very friendly and had a very good sense of humor. Overall, I found that I had, by the end of the exam and the visit with him, a very positive attitude towards my care.
